FBISE Migration Certificate: Step-by-Step Online Apply Guide

Introduction
Today we will learn how you can retrieve your migration certificate very easily from the Federal Board website after SSC or HSSC ,even after SSC part 1 (9th Class) or HSSC part 1(11th Class). From past many years, Federal Board is moving towards online services to go paperless and for the convenience of students living in Pakistan and abroad.

Things to remember before Applying for Migration
First of all, you have to keep in mind that you should apply for migration only after your matriculation or intermediate results are out. Before that, you should not apply for migration; otherwise, your name may be removed from the board’s records. If for some reason you have to take migration after 9th class or after 1st year, you have to upload your school leaving certificate of 9th or 1st year respectively.

Opening the Federal Board Website
Open www.fbise.edu.pk, this is the website of the Federal Board. When its home page will be opened, you will get this kind of interface.

Now you will click online services, here you will get so many online services other then migration certificate.

Navigating to Online Services
So the migration certificate is the first option here because most of the students apply for migration. Here you will click on apply and this kind of interface will come in front of you.

Simply paste your registration number here. This registration number is the one which appears on the picture of the admit card of any student.

Your registration number is also mentioned on the registration card and on your marksheet. So from there you will enter this number on it and as soon as you search, all your particulars will automatically appear on the Federal Board website.Verify that, it is your and your father’s name. After that, select your class, from which you want to take migration.

Generating the Challan(Very Important Point)
In the payment details, you have two options,
1.Already generated challan
2.Generate new challan.
You will select “Generate New Challan“, After generating new challan, take a printout of it and deposit it in HBL or MCB. After depositing it in the bank, again following all the steps I have mentioned above, you will come down , and then you will click on “Already generated challan” and add challan number and amount in it.

After that, fill out the details given below like country city postal address phone type mobile and email address. Remember that you have to write email address and mobile number correctly because you will receive your tracking id on them.

Caution About Online Payments
Although it can also be done online, but I do not recommend it because there are too many queries in online payments like, payment does not reach the Federal Board in their account and such cases have been reported previously, so it is better if you do not prefer it.

Document Tracking Feature
After completing all the above steps, click on the submit button and you will be provided a tracking ID on your given mobile number and on the main screen of your computer, keep that tracking ID safe. Through this tracking ID, you can track your migration certificate status by inserting this tracking id to the document tracking system.

Receiving Migration Certificate by Email
If you take your migration after matriculation or intermediate, you will receive it within three to four minutes, your migration will be sent on your email address and there is an option to download, it comes electronically only, now the Federal Board has stopped the hard copies.

Why Has the Federal Board Shifted to Online Documents?

Over the past few years, the Federal Board has discontinued issuing hard copies of Class 9 and 10 marks sheets, admit cards, and migration certificates. Instead, these documents are now available online. The board has also introduced an online verification system for marks sheets and certificates, making it easier for students and institutions to verify academic records. This digital system allows students to access their required documents from anywhere, at any time, without the hassle of visiting the board office. As a result, it not only saves valuable time but also makes the entire process faster, more convenient, and more efficient.

  1. Has anyone here applied for an FBISE migration certificate online recently? The process looks fairly straightforward once you have the registration number and challan details ready, and I like that the guide explains where to find the registration number before starting the application. The tracking ID is also useful because you can follow the document after submitting the form instead of repeatedly contacting the board. I’ve also been checking student resources such as FBISE Results 2026 while looking into Federal Board services. Did anyone face any issue with the challan or receiving the migration certificate by email?
